3 Jahre Nautilus Studio!!!!
Das Nautilus Studio feierte am 1.Mai 2022 sein 3-Jähriges Bestehen in Wuppertal mit der Eröffnung der Duo Ausstellung 'Amorphum' mit dem Augsburger Künstler Hiawatha Seiffert (früher Wuppertal) und Yarrow Grae Clogston aus Seattle (USA). Als Sahnehäubchen gab es coooooole Live Music mit ganz besonderer Singer & Songwriterin Franzi Rockzz. Unten ein kleines Sounderlebnis per Clip!
DJ UNSTERBLER (Martin Erbler, der auch die Sounds für die Pille Palle Tarot Karten APP kreiert hat!) bewegte die Gäste am späteren Abend zum tanzen und mit feiner Untermalung bereicherte er die Vernissage akustisch mit seinen trickreichen Elekto Beatz. DANKE!
Das Nautilus Studio hätte eigentlich im Mai 2022 aufgrund finanzieller, gesundheitlicher und pandemisch-bedingter Gründe nach 3 bzw 13 Jahren schliessen wollen, jedoch sind mir die Vermieter unerwartet entgegen gekommen! Zudem entstand der überraschende Zuwachs durch die Begegnung mit der jungen pfiffigen Kommunikationsdesignerin und Illustratorin Lilia Haase, und somit haben diese erfreulichen neuen Bedingungen und Ereignisse nochmal ordentlich am Schicksalsrad gedreht und dafür gesorgt, dass das Nautilus Studio nun doch noch weiterhin bestehen bleibt. In Zukunft werden Lilia Haase und ich in vielen Projekten zusammenarbeiten und das Studio als frisch geschlüpftes Duo-Frauenteam neu beleben!

The Nautilus Studio celebrated its 3rd birthday on May 1st with the opening of the duo exhibition 'Amorphum' with Hiawatha Seiffert (Augsburg/Wuppertal) and Yarrow Grae Clogston (USA). The icing on the cake was live music with singer & songwriter Franzi Rockzz. DJ UNSTERBLER (Martin Erbler, who also created the sounds for my Pille Palle Tarot cards App!) made the guests dance later in the evening and accompanied the vernissage acoustically with his tricky electronic beats. The Nautilus Studio actually wanted to close in May 2022 after 13 years due to financial, health and pandemic-related reasons, though the landlord unexpectedly accomodated us with temporary rental cost reduction! In addition, the surprise encounter of the young communication designer and illustrator Lilia Haase turned the wheel of fate and ensured that the Nautilus Studio will continue to exist after all. In the future, Lilia Haase and me will colaborate on many projects and run the studio as a duo-wo-man-team!
‚Amorphum' steht für 'Materie' die keine geordnete Struktur, sondern ein unregelmäßiges und nicht-lineares Muster bilden. Diese unregelmässigen
Muster in Form von ‘imperfekten' organischen Besonderheiten werden in der Duo Ausstellung von Yarrow Grae Clogston aus Seattle und
Hiawatha Seiffert (ursprünglich aus Wuppertal, heute Augsburg) präsentiert. Die beiden Künstler stellen eine Serie ihrer Werke im Nautilus Studio aus.
(eng) 'Amorphum' stands for 'matter' which does not form an ordered structure but an irregular and non-linear pattern. These irregular patterns in the form of 'imperfect' organic features are presented in the duo exhibition by Yarrow Grae Clogston from Seattle and Hiawatha Seiffert (originally from Wuppertal, now Augsburg). The two artists are exhibiting a series of their works at the Nautilus Studio.
Yarrow ist bildende und tänzerische Künstlerin mit einer Hingabe an das botanische Leben, die von komplizierten Details fasziniert ist, wo die Schöpfung ein Prozess der Transformation, Transmutation und Verbindung mit unsichtbaren Bereichen ist.
Sie studierte figuratives Zeichnen im Atelier in Georgetown, Seattle, und ist Mitglied des Pacific Northwest Chapter der American Society of Botanical Artists.
Ihr Fokus auf Energetik zeigt sich in Bezug auf den Körper – sowohl in Bezug auf Gesundheit und Krankheit als auch in Bezug auf Tanz und Ästhetik. Eine Serie älterer und neuerer Aquarellzeichnungen und Mixed Media Werke werden in der Amorphum Duo Ausstellung von ihr zu sehen sein.
(eng) Yarrow is a visual and dance artist with a devotion to botanical life, fascinated by intricate details where creation is a process of transformation, transmutation and connection with unseen realms. She studied figurative drawing in the studio in Georgetown, Seattle. She is a member of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the American Society of Botanical Artists. Her focus on energetics is evident in relation to the body - both in relation to health and illness and in relation to dance and aesthetics.

Hiawatha Seiffert studierte an der HAWK Fachhochschule Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen Metallgestaltung und an der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien im Fachbereich Bildende Kunst bei Otto Lorenz. Als Grundmaterial verwendet er Metall (Stahl), welches er mit anderen Materialien bzw. Medien in scheinbarer Unvereinbarkeit kombiniert. Bekannt wurde er durch Objektschalen aus geschmiedeten Maschinenketten/teilen. Auch im Druck und Grafiken zeigt er seine Talente. Seine Arbeiten sind international auf Ausstellungen vertreten und mit Preisen ausgezeichnet
In der Ausstellung Amorphum präsentiert Hiawatha beides: einige seiner Metal Skulpturen und eine Serie seiner Grafiken auf Büttenpapier.
(eng) Hiawatha Seiffert studied metal design at the HAWK University of Applied Sciences in Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen and at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in the fine arts department with
Otto Lorenz. The theme of his work is space and time, form and surface. He uses metal (steel) as the basic material, which he combines with other materials or media in apparent incompatibility. He became known for object shells made of forged machine chains/parts. He also shows his talents in printing and graphics. In the Amorphum exhibition, Hiawatha presents both: organic metal sculptures and a series of his geometric-organic graphics on handmade paper.
Auch im Zusammenhang mit den beiden Veranstaltungen in unserem Quartier 'Das Viertel leuchtet' (Danke an Anette Knospe die den Abend so wundervoll gestaltet hat) und das bekannte 'Luisenfest' ( jährlich über 10.000 Besucher), war die Ausstellung Amorphum sehr gut besucht. Danke auch an Ralf Werner der mit Cello & Loops für seinen musikalischen Einsatz auf dem Luisenfest!

Die Finisage der Ausstellung AMORPHUM wird in Anwesenheit von Hiawatha Seiffert am Sonntag den 26. Juni von 15 Uhr bis 19 Uhr stattfinden.
