Ocean Creatures in a Changing World

​

We often speak of the ocean as something distant — a recreational commodity, as though it were a destination rather than a living system we are inseparably part of.

But what if the ocean isn’t something “out there,” but something we are intrinsically connected to?

With this series of assemblage sculptures, I explore our connection to water, the elements, and the living cycles that sustain us — through a collection of marine creatures inhabiting a changing world: warming waters, vanishing species, and the fragile web that connects all things above and below the surface.

A quiet reflection on what we are losing, and on our responsibility to protect the fragile ecosystems we share.​​

Was wäre, wenn der Ozean nicht etwas „da draußen“ wäre, sondern etwas, dessen untrennbarer Teil wir selbst sind?
